DAY 4: OCRACOKE ISLAND - NAGS HEAD Today travel to Cedar Island to board a ferry and cross the Pamlico Sound to colorful Ocracoke Island. The town has the feel of a New England village with a semi-tropical climate. The afternoon is at leisure to explore, grab a bite and shop. Later ferry to Hatteras Island, and see the famous candy-striped Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the tallest brick lighthouse in the U.S. Then, arrive at your beachfront hotel in Nags Head for a relaxing three night stay. Overnight: Nags Head, NC Meals: Breakfast
North Carolina Executive Mansion, photo courtesy Mark Turner DAY 7: NAGS HEAD - EDENTON - RALEIGH Motorcoach west this morning to Edenton, North Carolina’s second oldest town to see the historic and cultural sites in the downtown. See the Edenton Cotton Mill Village, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Continue to Raleigh and tour the North Carolina Executive Mansion, a Victorian-style mansion, home to North Carolina governors since 1891. Enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers at a local restaurant in the Raleigh area. Overnight: Raleigh, NC Meals: Breakfast, Dinner DAY 8: RALEIGH - FLY HOME
