I had to make sure to squeeze in an interview with Darlene Backlund during early February before she left on her latest trip... to Antarctica!

Darlene Backlund moved to the Wenatchee Valley about 18 months ago to be closer to family, including a son in Orondo and a granddaughter and three great grandchildren in East Wenatchee. She also has family in Western Washington.

Hey, Wenatchee Wild Hockey fans! Are you interested in being an usher at the games?

We've had a number of Senior Center members volunteer as ushers during previous seasons and we're looking to continue and improve on that tradition now that the Wild have joined the WHL.

The Wild are holding an Ushers Orientation Meeting on Monday, August 14th at 5:30 p.m. in the 2nd floor conference room at the Town Toyota Center. Attend this meeting to learn more about becoming an usher at the games.
