By Erin Cass, FCC Board Member and Expansion Campaign Co-Coordinator As we welcome a new year, I’m filled with gratitude for the support that has carried our Building Expansion Campaign to this point. Every dollar raised is dedicated to creating a larger, more accessible Foothills Community Center — one that can better serve and connect people across our region
The Coloring Group is the newest activity group meeting at Foothills Community Center and also the most diverse. It provides an opportunity for people of all ages and skill levels to work on their art skills in a social environment.
Christmas and New Year Reflections – As we leave the bustle and excitement of Christmas and 2025 behind, I’m excitedly looking ahead to all the possibilities a new year brings. This past year seems to have flown by in a whirlwind, and while it was filled with many good things, I’m hoping 2026 brings a slightly slower, steadier pace for all of us.

His wife, Dr. Morrisa Baskin, continues to work as a dermatologist for Confluence Health. Thanksgiving lunch this year was a huge success, thanks to our staff and volunteers who spent many hours prepping the multi-course meal. The plates were so full that many of the 130 people in attendance couldn't finish

Barbara McCardle, receptionist at the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center, is the featured worker from the Center this month. Barbara has lived in East Wenatchee since 2012, and has been the receptionist since 2023. Barbara was born in Wisconsin. She moved with her parents and two siblings several times — to Minnesota, Colorado, then to Nebraska. Her father owned radio stations and worked at them as a broadcaster, producer, and as a sports announcer. |
