 WENATCHEE - Action Health Partners will offer free Medicare counseling at the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center during the Medicare open enrollment period from October 15 - December 7, 2023. Medicare is federal health insurance for people age 65 and older, and those who are under age 65 on Social Security Disability Income, or diagnosed with certain diseases. While this insurance covers basic health insurance needs, many participants elect to add Medigap supplemental health insurance to improve their coverage. Navigating coverage and plans can be confusing, which is why Action Health Partners offers consulting services. Action Health Partners is a participating Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisor (SHIBA), registered with the state of Washington to provide free, unbiased Medicare counseling. They will hold counseling sessions in the Senior Center's Social Hall at 1312 Maple Street, Wenatchee on the following dates:
