Thrift Shop Staff — Part Time

This is a Part Time non-exempt employee who reports directly to the Thrift Store Manager and is also accountable to the Executive Director. This staff member will support the mission and policies of Foothills Community Center (FCC) by interacting with the Store Manager, the Executive Director and FCC staff and volunteers to help create a positive atmosphere in which to conduct Thrift Store operations at FCC.

DUTIES:
 
Assists the Store Manager in all phases of retail store operations, including receiving and processing donated goods, preparing items for display, arranging and placing inventory on the sales floor and cashiering.
 
Must meet physical requirements of retail work including standing and walking for long periods, lifting up to 60 pounds, moving and stacking boxes, and making minor repairs. Must exhibit self-discipline and self-motivation while functioning in an ever-changing environment.
 
Agree to a flexible work schedule during the week and able to work Saturdays when called upon at least one to two times a month.
 
Provide our customers with the best possible customer service and a fun shopping experience. Greet customers by name, when possible, smile and be helpful. Always offer a helping hand when accepting donations, offer tax receipts, and help carry out purchases if needed.
