DAY 4: EDINBURGH - YORK
Today head south to York, founded in AD 71 & rich in Roman, Saxon & Viking history. Upon arrival meet a local guide for a York Tour.  Enjoy a stroll through the medieval city and the famous Shambles, a quaint, narrow street that appears today almost as it did during the Middle Ages. Visit the magnificent 13th century York Minster, one of the finest medieval cathedrals in all of Europe. Later check into your hotel for the one-night stay.  Enjoy an included dinner this evening.

DAY 5: YORK - STRATFORD-UPON-AVON - BRISTOL

Bristol sits at the mouth of the Avon River & the city center docks have been regenerated as a center of heritage and culture.

DAY 4: OCRACOKE ISLAND - NAGS HEAD

Later ferry to Hatteras Island, and see the famous candy-striped Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the tallest brick lighthouse in the U.S. Then, arrive at your beachfront hotel in Nags Head for a relaxing three night stay.

​You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (2-3 hours) isn’t a big deal. A moderately paced two-and-a-half-hour walking tour, covering several miles, hills, and uneven surfaces, is no problem for you. Walking four miles over the course of a day is very doable, as is climbing into and out of various modes of transportation (tuk-tuk, cable car, zodiac, etc.). You can climb three flights of stairs easily and handle altitudes between 6,000 and 9,000 feet. Expect some longer days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure.
